As a Subject Matter Expert in the School of Mental Health, you will be instrumental in enhancing our online education programs. You will utilize your specialized knowledge to develop pertinent course content and facilitate enriching learning experiences. Collaborating closely with the dean or Program Director, you will benefit from dedicated instructional design support while engaging in a collaborative course development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in mental health relevant to course topics.
- Develop engaging and impactful course content.
- Create structured learning modules to guide students effectively.
- Author original assessments aligned with established course objectives and standards.
- Design presentation materials, including PowerPoint presentations with voiceover for weekly modules.
- Create relevant homework assignments and interactive discussion topics to promote engagement.
- Develop assessments with clear instructions and rubrics.
- Identify and suggest supportive resources to enhance course content.
- Collaborate with colleagues to establish timelines for deliverables and meet deadlines.
- Participate in regular feedback sessions for continuous content refinement.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the course to ensure academic rigor and alignment with objectives.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling; a doctorate is preferred.
- A degree from a CACREP-accredited program is highly desirable.
- Experience in clinical mental health counseling is preferred.
- Proven background in course development, ideally in an online format.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver original course content and assessments.
